My husband and I sat here at this spot one Saturday morning.  We decided to just sit and enjoy the forest.  Deer crashed through the forest all around us.  Birds chirping and whistling.  Insects buzzing around.  It was very peaceful.  We have been so busy searching and had not spent anytime just enjoying nature.

After an hour the deer disappeared.  Then we heard 3 knocks.  Then an answering one.  We would hear a knock in front of us and then an answering knock from our left.  Sometimes 2 knocks and then an answering one knock.  This went on for 10 minutes!  Who made this sound?  We were the only humans in the area.  Deer?  Bear?  Mountain Lion?  Birds-Woodpeckers?

Woodpeckers make rapid knocks.  Like machine gun fire.  I know because I have seen and heard them before.  This was not that.

What?  2 drummers at opposite spots with a ravine between them hiding behind some big trees knocking on trees, one, two or 3 times and then answer back?  I have some ocean front property in Arizona for you to buy.

Much of what has been reported by Big Foot witnesses have shown classic primate behavior.  I bet nobody has told you that before.  Knocking on trees is classic primate behavior.
